If you just want to make dvd backup copies of your old VHS tapes then buy a dvd recorder (from the likes of Sony or JVC or LiteOn). But if you want to edit the videos then possibly a capture card with analogue inputs and either a USB or Firewire output would do the job. If you own or have access to a mini dv camcorder with av in sockets then you can use the mini dv camcorder as an analogue to digital convertor. It really depends on what you want to do with your videos?

    Hi, mediamaster.
Well friend i can't help you as i don't have any name to suggest you. But i knows that it is easily possible, & many new capture cards are available now.
So go ahead & search for it.
    Best of luck!

Different poeple will like different cards. You're not likely to get a defintive answer on which is the absolute best one. I happen to use my old Matrox RT.X100 for analogue capture. It still works great and converts to MPEg2 in real time

The "100% same results" part oif your question is a bit odd. The resolutions of the two formats are different so they will never be the same.
