Thread: Smooth Deinterlace with PPro CS3?

  1. #1

Default Smooth Deinterlace with PPro CS3?

I have been using the "Deinterlace Smooth" method with AVISynth and Vdub for years to give me double FPS footage from an interlaced source.
Is there a way to do this in CS3 without having to mess around with external apps? Would be nice to be able to just slow down any footage in the timeline and benefit from the double frame rate of a bob+weave style deinterlace.

I see FAQ:How do I get quality slow motion with interlaced footage? - Adobe Premiere Pro - is this what I want?

Nope. Doesn't seem to deinterlace my PAL footage to 50FPS like the vdub Deinterlace Smooth does.
I would really love a way to do this entirely within PPro, or maybe a way to say do it in AVISynth and just import the AVS into PPro for editing. I found the AVISynth importer but it doesn't seem to work for me (AVISynth 2.57 + PPro CS3)

    Can anyone help?
