I would like to know if it is possible to create a hd video in sony vegas 7 (full version) that has dolby digital 5.1 as the audio.
I have been trying to do this for a long time but have only found pcm audio as the option with avi files. Or wmv audio for wmv files. In ulead video studio you can make mpeg-2 (sd) videos with dolby digital audio, but it doesn't seem possible in vegas. The new version of ulead vs11.5+ can create hd videos with ac3 5.1 but the file format (evo) seems unplayable even in powerdvd8deluxe. I then renamed an evo file to mpeg, & that is very jumpy in powerdvd & windows media player. Yet hd wmv's with a higher bitrate (made in vegas) play fine.
Ideally I would like to create an mpeg-2 (1280x720) with ac3/dolby digital 5.1 audio (using sony vegas 7 full version).
