    Default Adobe OnLocation: Worth using?

What are your thoughts about Adobe OnLocation? What do you use it for and how does it fit into your own workflow?

It would be nice to get some suggestions, maybe I can improve my own workflow along the way. I don't currently use OnLocation but maybe soon it will become mainstream for me.

Good to hear from you all, great forum!

I don't really think you gonna need it unless you're going to be a pro, carry all those batteries and stuff with you to location . Normally will just shoot with our tripo or dolly and so on and later on edit at home, so spending more money with that, i wouldn't .

I do a fair bit of keying in my job, and when i used onlocation it safed loadsa time, as i could be sure that the background colour was pretty much spot on - so i knew i wouldnt have to spend time with mattes/masks etc...

but i dont use it anymore as 'lensfeed' does that job much better..

Its well worth a look though.

Lensfeed, eh? not heard of that one. I also was wondering about moving shots with these sort of programs? I would imagine someone has to carry your laptop for you as you dolly/steadicam around capturing to disk, bit of a pain...

...So can I capture playback footage into it (at various qualities, see my other post) or is it just used for live recording? Moving shots, could I use the program to set up the shot, then lock the camera, disconnect and record to tape with "perfect results" or does it not work that way?

    Thanks,
    Russ
