    Default pd150 internal battery advice

im looking to sell my trusty PD150 but would like to get the one and only problem it has fixed first...im told the internal battery (the BT250 lithium battery apparently) has died which is why the camera settings and clock reset everytime i turn it off and on again...

has anyone changed this battery themselves before? ive been told its fiddley but quite easy if you take your time... any advice?

    thanks all

Is there anything in the manual about changing it?

I have had a PD150 for six years with any problems, they are great cameras.

    nothing in the manual, no.

its an internal battery so its a take the camera apart type job and officially a send it back to sony gig... im told its relatively easy though so can save the cost and time of sending it back for repair...

i agree! great camera otherwise and has worked without any other problems...

I don't have that camcorder myself but have you read the two paragraphs at the top of page 157 of the instruction manual?

yeah, i did all that. it doesn't make any difference (i wish it did, that would be a nice easy fix) but the battery does not just need recharging, it wont charge up anymore. it has died and needs replacing.
