Default external mic -soundproof shoe mount

I have a sony DV camcorder, and use an external maplin zoom mic which avoids camera noise.
If I mount the mic on the camera the sound conducts through.
Is there such a thing as a cheap non-sound conducting mounting bracket?

    Thanks
    tony

Creative video sell a gadget that suspends your mic from two annuli on rubber bands - that should sort it.

You need this a Rode SM5 or SM3,depending on the fitment.
have a look on ebay and do a search for them.

    I've got one,works brilliant.
