Default Ulead movie Factory 2 question

    :
Hi does anyone know if you can put two or more VHS home movies onto one DVD-r. I have a number of VHS movies on my hard drive and have already copied one VHS to dvd-r. These movies are quite small say about 1gb so its a bit of a waste.

1.Can this be done using Ulead Movie Factory 2.?
2.Can you create a menu with each Movie as options on the DVD?

Yes. If my memory of moviefactory serves me correctly, import each clip into and then drag and drop onto a menu.

Hi Marc thanks for the reply. I had a look at the import option, but it only imports DVD movies, not mpeg.Mpeg is the format of the VHS copied Video.

You should be able to import as long as it's DVD compliant (and that inlcudes VCD and SVCD). Can you tell me the exact settings of you MPEG stream. I can then tell you the best way to proceed.

If you don't know the settings (framerate, framesize, MPEG1 or 2 etc), install AVIcodec, then right click on the video in windows explorer and select AVIcodec.

Hi Marc please find settings as requested,

    893 MB, 8000 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 720*576 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD),

It looks DVD compliant, it smells DVD compliant... so why won't MovieFactory let you import? Crazy.

Q: What audio, video and image file formats does DVD MovieFactory2 support?
A: DVD supports the following media file types:

    Import
    Video: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, QuickTime,VOB,DAT
Image: BMP, GIF, JPG, JP2, JPC, PNG, TGA, TIF
Audio: MPEG audio (MPA), WAV, MP3

    Export
    Audio: LPCM, MPEG Audio
Disc: DVD, miniDVD, VCD and SVCD movie titles

    1) Do you have the audio and video combined?
    2) How is the audio encoded

If you've got AVIcodec, the same way. Whilst I;m here, how are you importing the video to MovieFactory?

    Marc,

In the A.1 Codec Field it says Unknown.

I am using a Hauppauge 350 card to copy from the Camcorder to PC using WinTV2000. I then load up Ulead To create a new Project to copy to DVD-r.

I tryed the importing option tonight, by starting Ulead start DVD project, it then brings you the import /add movie screen. I choose import ,and go to my movie Dir, but it won't list the files. It lists the files if I take the Add option. But it will only let you select one.

Sounds obvious, but can't u just repeat the process after you've added the first one - you certainly could do this with the first version (I've just read my review after searching in google for "import more than one file to MovieFactory". Always makes me chuckle when I do that.
