    Default Convert 30fps to 25fps

I am using a Sanyo Xacti camcorder which does a great job for what I need except that it records at 30fps.

When I capture the footage and add it to the DVD the film is jerky. I emailed Sanyo to see if it was something I am doing wrong and they advised: -

"In order to be compatible with PAL, the data has to be converted from 30fps to 25fps. Then 5 frames will be dropped. If the image is moving fast, it could look to be shuddering a bit."

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can capture/convert without the jerky effect, please.

p.s. the Sanyo spent some time mounted onto the bonnet of my car so the images are fast moving!

    Regards

    Tony
