Exclamation How to Cover Someones Face....?

I am sorry if this thread doesn't belong here.

Is there anyway I can cover someone's face up, like have a black circle over their face in a video?

    Thanks in advance

Yes you can. Would you be so kind as to tell us what video editing program(s) you might be using?

I only have Windows Movie Maker. Do you know any free programs where I would be able to do this?

Well, After Effects is the best way to do this, with the motion tracker, but doing it this way is a bit complicated.

You can use Sony Vegas to make a black circle and adjust its position every few frames to match it to the position of the head you want to cover.

I only know of a free version of Avid Xpress, but I'm not sure if it will do the trick. http://www.videoforums.co.uk/pinnacl...-too-nice.html

The only way I've seen it done in Windows Movie Maker is to add Overlays and you do that by adding custom xml files to WMM.
There is a site around that half explains how to do it but I'm not sure if I'm permitted to add links here.
