    Default capturing dv

i have now got premier elements 3 and am starting to capture my tape data for editing
    there are 3 tapes
i captured one, edited out all the non essential information and saved it in 'holiday edit 1' file on the hard drive
i am now capturing the second tape information and saving under...no '2' file and i plan to do this with tape '3'

am i doing the right thing..can these finally edited files be joined together before i come to do the sountracks and burn the CD..

or should i have captured them all onto one file...hope not...

each tape initially provides around 20-30 minutes of video information

    glad for any advice please

    yours

It is best to do it just the way you are. Work on the three separately until you have completed the primary editing in three separate projects. When you are ready to combine them for final editing and burning the DVD you can export two of the projects as DV-AVI files and import into the single Master project. To export the files; File/Export/Movie, then import that file into the master project, there will be no quality loss doing this.

Here is one of the FAQs from the Adobe forum on the subject
Adobe Forums - How do I work on a large project in small pieces?

And there are some very nice video tutorials available at muvpix.com
