    Default Premier cs3 problem

    hi there, i have just made the jump to cs3, and i have come to a hurdle already.
    I have made a little animation in aftereffects, it renders out fine, i test the file, all looks good. i put into premier
    cs3, and once it renders in the time line, it looks really wobbly.

    any ideas?

    What version of After Effects?
    What format are you rendering the output to?
    It must not be DV-AVI or you wouldn't have to render in Premiere.

    Render the file as uncompressed AVI or DV-AVI for use in Premiere.

    I think with CS3 you can import AE files stright off. So try just importing your composition, and rendering it in your PP timeline, and if it works tell us =]

    Adobe Support says this;

    Export an After Effects project as an Adobe Premiere Pro project, streamlining work that involves editing as well as motion graphics and effects.
    Good idea trying the composition but I didn't realize that it was a separate file, separate from the After Effects Project File. If you can export the project to Premiere that would be real easy.

    strange, i did it straight from after effects and it still looked wobbly in the premier video window, but when rendering out from prem, the file looks fine
    still would prefer to see how it looks as im editing it, rather than it wobbly

    What kind of horsepower do you have on your machine? If it is anything less than a Dual Core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 256mb video card, you may have problems. It depends on what you are doing and how much processing is going on.

    I have wobbly playback on my dual, dual core Xeon 3.0ghz at times if I get too carried away, but the export always plays just fine

    Another reason you may want to export as DV-AVI from After Effects, that will not be wobbly in Premiere.
