I was just curious, would love to see the votes-so many products that it's confusing at times.

as one of my classify it should be from the best to the worst:

    Premiere Pro
    Pinnacle Studio
Sony Vegas (the 3rd place because of codecs managing)
    Ulead Video Studio

Personally i like sony vegas because it's not resource hungry and it run in low memory situations. If you know how to script then you can write your own plugin for sony vegas.

    Default Depends on Project

While it depends on the project I find I use Vegas more than Premier for most of the same reasons outlined (resource, speed, ease of use). On some projects which do require some advanced and higher end editing I switch over to Premier, but for most projects I seem to be doing these days, Vegas provides everything I need to get the job done quickly and with quality.

SIDENOTE: Vegas does capture much more cleanly and is always in sync (audio/video). I've had some problems with sync/dropped frames when capturing from camera to Premier.
