Default Can I still saved? "The project appears to be damaged, it canot be opened."

    Hello

Something terrible happened: my HD swiched off while I was closing the software and now, when I try to open my project in Adobe Premier 1.5 this message appears "The project appears to be damaged, it canot be opened."

I'm really desparate!!! Can I recover anything?

    Thankss

    Dayse

Premiere Pro has the ability to import one project into another whihc can sometimes help in these circumstances.

Try starting a new project with the same template as the original then import the 'broken' one into it. You may be able to salvage something . If that doesn't work though, then I know of no other way, sorry.

I don't know if this will help or not but Premiere saves 5 versions of your movie in the form of a project file. If you look in the Adobe Premiere Pro Auto Save folder (or equivalent folder in 1.5) hopefully you will find your movie project files with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 listed after them. Open up Premiere and see if you can open the highest numbered project file back into Premiere that isn't corrupted. You may be asked to find certain files so you will have to search through other folders to find them but hopefully you wont.
