    Default Capturing HDV

    Hey guys.

I can capture DV video footage in Sony Vegas 7 but when I change my camera to record in HDV and try to capture it in Sony Vegas 7, it doesnt work at all. Vegas doesnt recognize any device. Does anyone have a solution to this? I just dont understand how I can capture DV footage with no problems but cannot capture HDV.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you get the prompt box when you open capture asking which you want to capture?

I had the same problem until I installed service pack 2 for XP.
