Thread: Question for advanced users

    Default Question for advanced users

I'm looking for software (probably freeware or something of the sort) which could be incorporated into a graphical user interface (GUI) programmed in something like C# in order to speed up a video and present it based on the input provided by the user to the GUI. Specifically, I am interested in having the GUI program send a command to the video editing program which can speed up a video and play it back at a specific speed.
For example: There is a movie 2 hours long and I want to speed it up 24x to play in 5 minutes. I'm looking for video editing software that will take a command from an external program, and play back my movie in 5 minutes.
I know that this seems totally crazy, but it's for a project I'm working on.
    Can anyone help me?
Feel free to ask questions if this isn't clear.
