Angry Fuzzy Apperance In Program Monitor...

    All....

I have posted a similar problem in the past - but never got to the bottom of it and it's so darn frustrating so here I am again.....

I am capturing small clips of my PC screen (I'm trying to show the audience how easy it is to use one of our internal PC based systems). However, when I import these captured clips (using Camtasia 5 to capture the clips) to PP CS3 it looks fine in the Source Monitor but not so in the Program monitor - appearing very blurry.

I have tried all sorts of things like changing frame rates in Camtasia, changing the screen resolution of the PC etc....

Does anyone have any further ideas?

Does anyone know if its possible to capture PC screen based clips using the Capture facility of PP CS3?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Have you rendered the preview? Have you tried running the files through Windows Movie Maker and exporting them as DV-AVI? I know that many people have problems with AVI files from Camtasia.

No, you cannot screen capture video with Premiere, have you tried Windows Media Encoder, it works very well and it is free. You get WMV files you can convert to DV-AVI with Windows Movie Maker, the DV-AVI file will work much better with Premiere.
