Default Project : Can I do this with Premiere Elements?

    Hi,

Me and some friends are working on a little projects where we would like to create our own cnn-like news. We have a green screen set up and I can work with it in adobe premiere elements 4.0.

Now for the more difficult part : we would also like to make 'live interviews', so for example a splitscream where you have on your left the newsreader and on your right the live person. And also a pro looking newsscroller

Can this be done with abobe premiere elements? What would I need? Premiere pro? After effects?

    Is it difficult?

For the 'newsscroller' you can create scrolling titles in APE4 no bother, just go through the title creation menu and find scrolling titles. Look for one that puts titles along the bottom of the screen, starting at the right side of the screen and moving to the left side of the screen and then go off.

You need to do a PIP (Picture in Picture). Heres an adobe tutorial:
    Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0

To do green screen you need to use this:
    "http://help.adobe.com/en_US/PremiereElements/4.0/help.html?content=WS09e4b3c48f3a79fc19b622510385d4 355c-7ed2.html"
    Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot, I just tried that and it worked perfectly!!!

Is it also possible to put a border around the video you're picturing in your picture? (it looks professional)
