Default normal recorded sound on camera

I just loaded up Magix video editing software. I hooked my JVC camcorder to
my PC. The video loaded up ok. But It had no sound at all. What am I doing
wrong what should I look for. I thought the audio would just load up with
the video both at the same time. Sorry if you have answerd this before. I could
not get into the old forum threads for some reason.
    Thanks

How did you connect your JVC to the computer? Was it using USB or Firewire, if it has Firewire then use it all the time.

Always use Firewire, as USB will not work for what you are trying to do.
