    Default Lightening up an AVI

    Hi People.

I've taken some footage of my daughter doing an interview. However, it is very dark and I'm trying to lighten it up a bit.

Now this is probably a stupid question but I've been reading the premier bible and it tells me how to adjust the brightness and contrast but when I do nothing happens.

Please can someone explain how it's done, or point me to somewhere to discover it.

This is how I am trying to do it.

Drag the Brightness and Contrast tool at 1
Over to the video file to edit at 2
    Then adjust at 3

But it's not doing anything. Ideas anyone?

I do not have this program but the brightness tool is not normally the best one to use at the image can look a bit washed out, do you have a Gamma correction tool, that is normally better.

I've tried with that one too but it's not altering it at all. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I must be fick.

Ummmm, seems strange. Only thing I can think of is, do you have the 'see effect' icons turned on
