What are you saying? "but I still has cookie cutter" -

What you are asking for, the James Bond moving bullet hole, is a complex but, none-the-less, very do-able effect.

Do you know what a Cookie is or what it does?

Do you understand about track layering and how you view "through" layers of video?

Vegas Platinum ships with some addons called Freedom FX. Whether or not you have these, the following still applies. You use luminance masks. Here's the instructions found on Freedom Effects' site:

    1. Arrange your clips on the timeline as follows:
    Track 1: matte
    Track 2: your video clip
    Track 3: background animation

    2. On Track 1, Click the Track FX button and select the Mask Generator tool.
    3. In the Mask Generator dialog, select a Luminance key from the Type
dropdown. You may also need to click the Invert checkbox to get the effect
    you want.

    4. in Track 1, your matte, click the Compositing Mode button and select "Multiply (Mask)" from the menu.

    5. in Track 2, your video clip, Click the Make Compositing Child button.

The mattes are gray scale. Anything completely white passes underlying layers through. Anything black will prevent passing.

Make your own mask for the Bond camera iris. Make this in Photoshop or any photo editing software. The third layer (child to your video), if you're duplicating the Bond camera iris, will be a solid red.

You can see some samples of what can be done here: Freedom FX AniMattes...........

Needless to say, you don't need Freedom FX masks. This site's tutorials tells you how to use luminance masks and make use of child layers.

    Your's truly,

    Bond. Vagabond.
