    Default New DVD Burner

    Hi
I just bought a new DVD burner wanting to convert all of my old VHS videos onto DVD's. I don't have the right cables yet but was planing on buying those tomorrow but I called the tech support for my computer and they told me that a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 Graphics Controller was not enough to input something from a VCR. My Graphics card can use an S-video connection plus i have a sound input available. Acording to the "Analogue to digital conversion guide" you need a TV capture or Graphics card. The tech support is saying i need the TV capture card. Will it work without it?

sounds like your gfx card has tv out, not in. you need in, or a capture card of sorts. it's a bit of a rubbish card for games (no offence!) so i'd consider upgrading to a vivo geforce or a similar radeon.
