    Default "Prison Break" Overlay/Splitscreen Effect?

    Hey,

Does anyone know the best way to achieve the overlay/splitscreen effect shown in the Prison Break Credits. Having two clips in one shot, like the closeup of the actor's faces on one side and then a different clip on the other side.

And also, on how to do the overlays of the same clip fading into each other at 0:19 to 0:25 in the short clip below.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm using Sony Vegas 7.0.

No time now for details, but if you want pointers (1) is done with masks and (2) is done by putting the two events on separate tracks and reducing the opacity of the upper one.
