    Default imported avi file skipping

I downloaded from a digital camcorder with Nero, created an avi. When I review avi file, looks great. I import into Adobe Premiere 6.0, look at it, looks great. when I bring the file into the time line, it looks like it is jumping around, skipping frames. I've done all this before and it's been fine...why a problem now. I've rendered what I have and it plays the same, crappy

Are you sure you created a .avi file and not an .mpeg file instead? If you did create a .avi file in Nero maybe Premiere 6 may not be able to play it back properly. And finally, why did you not just use Premiere 6 to do the capturing in and forget about using Nero?
