Default On Re-editing And Joining Festivals

hello all. just got a quick question. i made a short film and entered it in 3 festival contests, and edited it "differently" depending on the time limit of the individual contests. i wished i didnt do it though and got greedy to qualify because the resulting films were crap and never made the cut.

now my question is, im planning to join this other contest (yet) again and i plan to re-edit my film for the last time , this time the way i really want it to look--no compromises.

would this be breaching any legalities (or have i breached any already) considering that the other "versions" are already kept in archive by those other festivals?

I would check the small print. Some competitions want the rights of all entries. I think that is unusual and out of order imho.

I really wouldnt worry if i were you.
