    Default Vcd

    Hi all,
I have been given a VCD of a family party made from a camcorder.
Whatever I play it in, the pictures move still frame to frame rather than in video. Using WMP or WinDVD. The sound is perfect.
Is there anything I can do or was it just created wrong?

It's a mystery it won't play properly in WinDVD as I had that before and it seemed to play everything under the sun. Do you know what software the Video CD was created on?, maybe it was some obscure app and used a not too common video codec. Both your computer CD/DVD drive and home DVD player should be able to play that kind of disc back with no problems. If you could find out what software was used to compile the disc you might be able to download that particular video codec. You say the audio plays back alright so there is no problem there.

    Many thanks for the reply.
Don't know what it was created with, but I know the guy who created it has a pretty dated computer. So as you say that may be the problem.
I'll try and get the original recording from him and try myself.
If I do, I'll be back for some advice.
    Thanks again.
