    Default big file after rendered.

    Hi all.

Im new to this place and i hope i dont screw it up by making a rediculous post.
    - starting out good with a rediculous title which been seeing a billion times before,
    my bad

    Anywho, here goes.

I have used frasped to record a approx 10min movie in a game. I am a user of a widescreen, with the resolution of 1440x900

I've been looking through many threads and seen turotial videoes of how to render, to get the best quality and fill less. My problem here is that after rendering it, its topping the 1GB. I have seen loads and loads of other movies longer than 10min but only on like say 300-400mb in excellent quality. Mine comes out with very good quality but also damn big.

The settings im using is as following: i use WMV 9.0 i think it is.. I choose "best" and i make sure under video that the resolution is the same as recorded video with fraps and i make sure the framerate is the same aswell. After that i press okay and choose default templete under the templet option and press okay.

After more than 1 hour. the rendere movie comes out in a very good quality but as stated before. more than 1GB.

Now i of course wanna show people the things i recorded, but when its 1GB, its gonna prove a bit hard aint it?

Right now im currently trying to render is for you tube, after seeing mr. safe was it's? video of how to do sow. rendering as we speak.

I hope you can tell me how to make the video fill a bit less say.. around 200mb? which i can then upload to like, filefront or that sort of sites.

I hope you'll help me, im new to this, so please go gentle with me. I have the 7.0d version of sony vegas

Try taking the bit rate down when rendering to Windows media player, also make the sound mono

Are the other vids against which you are comparing yours also 1440x900. That's higher resolution than broadcast HD TV!

I think most are the 1024x768.

Maybe i should try to render the movies as such and hope that they wont be too big for uploading

    Thanks for your help ya'll
