Default What software to edit music promo video?

Can anyone recommend the best package to make a promo video for a band. Don't need lots of fancy effects just the ability to lay down an audio track and sync up clips that were mimed to it as easily as possible.
    Many thanks

Well there's Windows Movie Maker, but it's output options are slightly limited, you can't burn directly to DVD. Then there's Adobe Premiere Elements 3 (a one stop shop for video editing), they both can do what you are looking for. Why don't you download a 30 day trial of some of the editing software members of this forum are using and see which one floats your boat.

... Software-wise probably Adobe Premiere Pro/Elements whichever one you can get your hands on easiest. I've done a countless number of music videos from 3/4 angles using Adobe Premiere Pro. This is a brilliant tool enabling you to keep adding audio/video tracks to the timeline. You could use Windows Movie Maker, I would NOT recommend it though as, even though you may have been shooting from one camera angle, you will not have as much creative, if you like, atmosphere, as doing an edit in Adobe Premiere.
