    Default Subtitle question......

I'm new to using Sony Vegas (I have Vegas 7).

I was sent an .stl subtitle file to add to a film. I cant get it to open in Vegas so I changed the extender to .sub but it still wont open. Does anyone know what I should do?

Ask in what software it was created? Answer too simple?

If you draw a blank there, then maybe, just maybe it could be opened within some word proc; discover if the text is deliminated by some OBVIOUS text characters and then fiddle with it to finally produce a file that could ostensibly be imported/pasted into WORKS or XCEL and then use it from there into the Edit Details screen in Vegas.

My first port of call would be to ask from where it came from.
