    Default Vegas 8.0

Just noticed it is here - with 32 bit colour depth, good riddens to the 10 bits at last. This 10 bit thing has understandably stopped vegas being taken seriously by many editors and has often been cited as a reason for the popularity of fcp.

I havent checked out the spec yet but I suspect i will be spending some more money soon - the dishwaher is just going to have to wait even longer.

Hmmmm.... maybe I will wait for 9 - I am rather naively hoping a version of vegas appears soon with some sort of gpu acceleration or even better a version that works with a cell processor based pci card, probably just talk board fantasys but that would be cool.
