I guess I'm new at this Premiere Pro editor, but I really don't get the need for two different monitors: source and program. Call it inexperience. The way I understand it, I can prepare clips (audio, prepare In and Out points) in the source monitor and then drag it into the Timeline where I can view it in the program monitor. But I can specify In and Out points in the program monitor, too. Also, I dragged in an image (5 seconds length) from my project panel to the source monitor so that I could add effects, but apparently, I can't add effects in my source monitor -- even though the Effects tab is with the source monitor! It seems I can only add Effects in the program monitor once the image/clip is in the timeline. See...I don't get that. The Effects tab is in the source monitor!
