Default Capturing from DVD - possible ?

Hi. I have some old DVDs. Is it possible to get the footage into Adobe Premiere 6.0 direct from the DVDs so that I can edit ?

Yes it is possible. I rig up a standard DVD player to my capture card and play it through Premiere Pro capturing as I go.

OK, the reason why I asked is that if there commericial you'll have CSS or macrovision to deal with plus the legality issues. The easiest way wouldbe to put the disc in your drive and copy and paste it to your Hard Drive then open in the editor of your choice. Mo need to use a dvd player.

It will be fairly obvious by the connections available on the capture card and the DVD player. If they match then it should fit!! Without knowing more I cannot really help.
