The thing with dvd camcorders is that they are designed to record direct to disc for playing in set top dvd players. They are not editor-friendly since the record in the mpeg2 format. Sony Vegas has a camcorder dvd import feature I'm sure other editors (NLE's) have a simular feature. Once on the pc you could then burn to a full size disc, keep in mind though if you want to edit these videos the quilty will suffer to to being compressed already. Hope this helps, good luck
