Default West Ham Nil - Reloaded!

Ok people. Just in time, a few days before the end of the month.

You can see my 'Movie Teaser Trailer' by downloading the file
    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alan_mills/WestHamNil.wmv

The filename 'WestHamNil' is the subtitle of the moview/trailer. If I put the full title it would only act as a spoiler.

Have fun with it and critique it at will.

Having watched it as often as I have there's plenty to improve on and fix, not least of which is the sound levels (some of the sound effects are a little drowned out :( ). I'll probably fix things in time but not before the comp closing date so.... you'll just have to live with it.

Done just as a bit of fun so say something people, even if you think it's rubbish!

Good job Alan (despite the use of my favourite team, I laughed!) Must have taken you an age to find an invisble person to star though.

    Stunning job!

Opening graphics were fresh and eye catching.

Liked the black/white title inserts and voice over narrative.

    Had a chuckle as well

    Default Entry - Withdrawn!!!!

Sorry to have to do this but my principals don't allow me to do anything else.

    This entry is officially withdrawn!!!!!!

I enjoyed making it and I'm glad it gave a few people a little bit of a giggle. However, I scripted and produced my fake teaser trailer to fit in with the requirements of the competition as laid out in the rules. However the rules appear to have changed to allow (enter anything you might just happen to have been working on at the time as long as you say it is a "trailer").

As such this is NOT the entry I would have made and so is withdrawn.

I don't want to appear detrimental to the pieces of work involved. They are clearly superior to anything I can see me producing in any foreseeable future. They just don't meet the requirements of the competition as laid out in the rules, pure and simple.

It's entirely my fault for wanting to please all of the people, all of the time (which just ain't possible). You have a valid point in that you stuck strictly to the original criteria, and for that I commend you!

In my eagerness to attract more people, I let the criteria slip and slip and STILL we only had six entrants :-(. I can, of course, introduce an exogenous seasonal dummy variable and weight the votes according to their fullfilment of the criteria.

I've learned my lesson... next competition is going to be a lot different.

What drama I have missed whilst on holiday!

What part of the rules have you broken? As far as I can see your trailer was original, well produced and extremely funny. I thought it had a great chance of winning!

    Re-instate this movie immediately!

I think it should be reinstated also. Come on, just so eveyone else can see it. It's annoying reading great reviews, only to find you can't actually have a look at it.

If it doesn't quite fit the bill, there's also the principle of disappointing all us fellow forum readers.
