Thread: Editing software 64bit compatible.

    Default Editing software 64bit compatible.

    Hi guys !

I have always used Adobe Premier Elements but now I am running the 64bit version of Vista, PE3 will not work, a know issue with no fix.

Can anyone suggest a comparable piece of software in the same price region that runs on Vista 64bit.

Ideally I would like to download a trial if possible.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Did you be able to find an editting software fully compatible with Vista 64-bit?

    - I tried Sony, it seemed to be working smoothly and fast but when I asked Sony Live Help, they said Vegas 9 Pro Platinum is not compatible, I never tried to burn anything so that might be where the problem starts.
    - I tried Corel Videostudio pro x2 but it was working so slow that I couldn't even work with it (I have AMD Turion X2 Dual Core, 4 GB RAM on my laptop, speed shouldn't be that much an issue)
    - I tried Magix Movie Edit Pro 14, it works fine and fast but I couldn't burn anything, it gives an encode error. I tried their patch for 64-bit, it didn't help.

I don't know what is the deal but I cannot find a fully Vista-64 compatible Video Editting software. Did you find since your last post?

Correct. Vegas 8.1 Pro is the only 64-bit version. The ".1" is important. 32bit users should run with 8.0c.

Check out the latest version of PE. Should be ok.
