check out my guide to split screen here:
How to make nice split screen in premiere?
You know, two clips on black background.
How do you do the same thing, but in Pro? I tried following the instructions, but failed due to differences in format of the two programs.
It's a bit easier in Premiere Pro:
First off, go to the effects panel.
If you want two full frame images side by side, reduce the scale to around 49% and alter the "position" setting to get the clip where you want it
Alternatively, if you want to crop an image, drop the crop video effect onto the clip on the timeline, and then adjust the settings of the crop effect in the effects control
Now drop a clip onto a track above your first clip and repeat above.
I accidentally overlapped the two screens and this actually made a nice effect. I added a third screen so that I had three semi-overlapping screens with action going on in each one (three camera angles of the same scene).
Thanks for the tip.
