Default Pinnacle Studio 9 or Ulead VideoStudio version 8 ?????

Hi, I have been trying to figure out which of the two is better - Pinnacle Studio9 or Ulead VideoStudio8??? Although Pinnacle appears from various discussions to be easier to use but the audio mismatch etc discussed in various forums seem to be a drawback. On the other hand, it's audio filtering feature is a plus point to reduce the wind noise recorded in camcorders. This audio filtering seems to be absent in Ulead. Am I right? Is there any provision to reduce the background / wind noise in Ulead? Also I am looking for a package which has the editing software (Ulead or Pinnacle) with firewire PCI card and the 6 -4 pin IEEE cable. How much do I have to shell out for this combo? ANy useful UK internet shops to look at?
    Cheers!!

    Please don't buy Pinnacle Studio

You get a light edition of Ulead Media Studio with the Hauppauge DV-Wizard Pro (available from Dabs). Howver, its prob best to get a download copy of video studio 8 from the ulead site for about 40, then buy a firewire card for about 10-15.

I must say that I agree with Marc on the Pinnacle thing. Pinnacle software is well known for its instability.

This audio filtering seems to be absent in Ulead. Am I right? Is there any provision to reduce the background / wind noise in Ulead?
Ulead Video Studio 8 comes with 5 Audio filters including Noise Reduction.

I always suggest to people to, where possible, try before you buy. ULead offer a fully functional trial version of their software. This can be downloaded from,

    http://www.ulead.co.uk/download/trial.htm
COMPAQ something or other with 500Gb Boot Disk, 1Tb external Firewire Disk, 4Gb Memory and a super duper sound card, 19" TFT Monitor etc etc etc
    Sony TRV33e : Sony TRV310e : Canon XM2
Sony Vegas Studio editions to v11
