    Default Urgent audio help

For my Canon XL1 I hooked up my xlr jacks and am attaching a shotgun jack to one of the jacks. One says L (left) and the other says (right). When I do this, sound through the headset only comes through the designated jack (L or R). Is there a way to balance this out? Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Only start 1 trhread per question, please!

As far as your question goes I would say no because your only recording to 1 track ( ie Left or Right) Mark might give you a more definitive answer.

    Software Used:
TGV Edius 6, TGV ProCoder 3, DVD Lab Pro. 2

Use the stereo panning tool in your NLE? Or copy and paste you recorded channel (L) into the other(R) to duplicate it in the other side?

I don't think you can do it on the camera.

I agree. Probably not much worth doing at time of recording. Adjust it in 'post'.
