Question Error Message. File recorded at an unsupported rate

    Hi,
Just Bought a Sony DVD 105 DV RW. I am able to use the sony motion browser to capture the video, however when I try to import it into premiere. This is what I get- (this didn't happen when I have a DV Tape camcorder)

Unable to open file: File was recorded at an unsupported rate. The supported rates are 11, 22, 32, 44 and 48khz

Is premiere not set up to recieve this file?- it is an m.peg. Can I set camcorder up so that premiere can read it? Can I convert the m.peg format?

Sorry about the million questions, but i'm in a fix.

    Please help

DVD camcorders are bad news all around, If you plan on filming and thats all, its fine. If you plan on editing at all you'll end up woth poor-er quilty due to it already being compressed. you might find a codec that will work but you won't be happy with the end result.

The footage has been burnt onto DVD. Does this mean I can edit using pinnacle and I wont get this message? I only have soundforge 7, so I may upgrade if this deals with 5.1 channel. or go to soundblaster instead.

What a pain. I could have got a really good Tape DV for the price of this. State of the art turned into State of the Arc eh?
