Default exported movie is very slow

I made a movie using adobe premiere 6.5.
I exported it using adobe premiere 6.5, the maximum frame rate i can get is 30, is there any way i can increase the frame rate?

cause i dont want the final product to run so slo and choppy.

It won't be the frame rate that's making your video choppy. How are you encoding your video? Try encoding to MPEG.

hmm, mpg eh? Well when i exported the movie it became and avi file.

So which encoder will give me mpeg? i see a divx mpeg-4, i use that and it improved but still not smooth. I notice i can only get 30 frames and under no higher, could this be the reason why?

My friend siad you have to go and download extra codecs for it then it will be better. he siad the codecs that come with the stock version of adobe premiere 6.5 is not good enough. is this true? if so where do i go to download these extra codecs?
