    Default Best editing Apple?

    Hi everyone,
I've had enough of crashy PCs and I'm looking to buy a custom Mac pro for my semi-professional/professional freelance editing work, however being a bit of a Mac novice I have no idea of the spec I should be going for - any ideas? I'm looking to spend at the very very most 3000.
    Cheers

The fastest fattest you can afford will be best.

Mind you let us know when it crashes

If your going to be using 'color' or the 3d particle emitter in motion, get a decent GPU graphics card in it 512MB at least.

Other than that put in at least 1GB of Ram per proccessor core, you shouldn't be dissapointed as even the basic spec flys in relation to it's windows like for like spec.
