    Default Help Needed, Quick Question.

    Hello everybody,
I just have a quick question. Ive been working with Vegas and Adobe but im new to this. I have been working on a project in vegas. Im stuck at a point cos I need to know how can u super fast forward a video. I mean the velocity function lets you forward a video to an extent. I have a video which is 34 mins long. I want it to be about 10-20 seconds long. Please can anyone tell me how to do it? I'd really appreciate a quick response.

I don't use Vegas myself, but there are normally limitations on the speed at which you can increase the video. I would therefore suggest that you speed up the video clip to the greatest extent, then render this out and re-import into the project. Increase the speed and repeat ad naseum. That is to say export as an AVI after increasing the speed and then import this back into the project and repeat the process of increasing the speed. After doing this several times (may be more!!!) you will end up with your desired result.

Of course, the best way to to this is through time lapse

That was pretty clever but u suggested to keep the format to .avi? What were you talking about time lapse? What is that?

By keeping it as an avi untill your final render will keep you from quilty loss due to compression, Time lapse is where you take 1 picture every so often, think of those flip books you had as a kid.

Ahh.. I have movies ... I tried the time lapse software but that is for pics.. I think the first option wud be a better choice .. rendering it and bring it back .. I only see that option as the best one anyway .. thanks alot!
