    Default catuor card

    hi im new here and am thinking of going out to buy a sony dcr-hc27e dose anyone own one are they any good as a stater cam and i have heard that i wont be able to put it on my pc with out a catuar card is this true?

    I'm not sure about whether the camera is any good or not. It's Sony. It's miniDV. So it's got 2 good things going for it at least... Googling the product number throws up no end of info, including reviews.

    The only thing your PC needs to capture from it is a Firewire socket. If it does not have one, then you can buy a PCI firewire card quite cheaply.
