    Default Video Editing Software that doesn't slow down or freeze up

    I have tried at least 4 different video editing software;

    Elements 3.0
    Pinnacle Stdio
    Ulead Studio
    ...

    I like having the features of Elements but it is so slow. I click play and the music and video is offsync and is not workable.

    Pinnacle Studio is kinda fast but it doesnt have all the features I like and is more of a novice editing program.

    My computer cant be causing these programs to be slow because it is high end and overclocked. I defragment weekly and recently reformatted.

    IS THERE ANY GOOD VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE THAT IS FEATURE RICH AND FAST?

    Thankyou.

    Frankly, all the apps you've quoted are 'novice' s/w (as you put it).

    As for being slow, well, it all depends on exactly what you are doing. Have you rendered youyr timneline before you hit 'play' if not then it;s got a lot of work (depending on what effects and transitions are applied) to do to play back in real time.

    Also, be well aware that video editting is not generally considered a real-time job. For example, my personaly worst case is a twenty minute movie that took over ten hours to render before I could watch it. Depeneingf on content, file type, effects applied etc etc it just might take ages and is rarely a real-time workflow.

    What are the specifics of your slow playback?

    Oh, and please don't shout anymore as it's considered bad form.
