    Default Sony TRV280

hello, I recently picked up a sony trv280 and after capturing a few skateboarding clips, I found that the quality wasn't the greatest...My question is how much will a Firewire cable increase the quality of the camera? Also, can someone reccomend a good fisheye for the Sony TRV280?

Not sure whether you are referring to a comparison of firewire over, say, USB capture, or whether you are referring to the possible differences in the quality of firewire cables.

Firewire is the preferred method of capturing DV footage from miniDV camcorders. Don't use USB at all if you can help it.

As for firewire cable quality issues, I have tended to find that they either work properly, or not at all. They are, after all, merely a physical conduit for the transfer of 0's and 1's from your camera to your PC, and vice-versa. If transfers fail, capture will not happen, period.

I haddock a clue what to suggest about the fisheye, but I'm sure some kind sole will suggest something soon.
