    Question Problem with Effects

When i try to put and effect on the clip, for some reason the effect only works on half of the scene. Like one side is normal and the other side has the effect. How can i get it to show on the whole scene and not just on one side of it?

OK. My money is on you having clicked on the FX By-pass icon. This is located above the Preview Screen on its own little tool bar. This is a very useful Icon as you can check just exactly how an FX is affecting an event. And, as you have found you can do it to the left OR right hand side of the frame. Actually you can do a lot more than just that. But explore the various options of that Icon. There's plenty to make use of.
