Default An easy way to apply Color Correction at the timeline

    Hi all,

I would like to know if there is an easy way to apply a color correction effect trhoughout my videos in the timeline. I use Premiere Pro with a Matrox Extreme video card. Nowadays I copy and paste video per video.

    Thanks!

You can make use of the sequence feature of Pro. I'm fairly new to this, and I'm sure there's a less fudged way, but this should work:

Locate the default sequence (sequence 01) in the project window. Right click and select duplicate. You should now have sequence 01 copy in the project window (you could rename this if you want). Drag and drop this to the end of your timeline. Now apply your effect to this video you've just dropped on the timeline.

This is a quick alternative to creating a seperate file and dropping that on the timeline. Don't delete your original clips on the timeline. If you make any changes to sequence 01, repeat the above.

As I say, there's probably a better way to use the sequence function.

Marc's nearly there, this is what I do...

Right click in the project window and create New Sequence (seq 2).

Highlight sequence 2's tab in the time line.

Drag sequence 1 from the project window onto sequence 2 in the timeline.

Sequence 1 is now nested in seq 2 and appears as a single clip- apply your movie-wide effects to this clip.

Any changes you make to sequence 1 will be automatically reflected in sequence 2 so you can go back and fiddle with your cuts etc without having to reapply fx to sequence 2.
