Thread: Firewire to RGB digital projector ?

  1. Default Firewire to RGB digital projector ?

I need to hook my camcorder up straight into a digital projector.

I've a Canon GL2 with a firewire output and the projector has a RGB input.

Is there such thing as a Firewire to RGB convertor?

    Thanks,

I am not aware of such a device - I know there are devices that convert the opposite way round.

Were you thinking of some kind of adaptor/lead?

The thing is, the info that comes up a firewire lead is digital, whereas the info that goes into an RGB connection is analogue. It's not a simple case of connecting wires - there will have to be some form of conversion involved.

I'd have thought the projector has either or all of s-video/composite video/scart inputs, all of which could be utilised to connect your GL2
