Question Video Editing problems with programs!!!

Hello, I have taken over 4 hours to finally upload a video I previously recorded onto it's program the Camcorder cam with (the program is called Pixela ImageMixer). I'm trying to edit the film by cutting scenes, adding captions, and perhaps if I could, maybe some music. I can't even figure out how to cut out scenes. I kind of want to save the cut out scenes also, so I can make a "bloopers" video. But I can't figure out how to work Pixela ImageMixer so well.

I tried moving the Video onto Windows Movie Maker, but everytime I edit out scenes there, the sound stops for some of the scenes, and it freezes until a certain point, even though if i rewind it second by second, it shows it's all there.

Can anyone tell me how to use one of these two programs to nicely edit a video? I need to do it for a school assignment. Thank you!!!!

Update: I found out how to edit the movie nicely, but I'm still trying to figure out how to add captions and Sounds. Any help??
