Thread: Software selection

    Default Software selection

Okay, I am about to start the search for video editing software and I need some direction. I am looking for a all around product that will edit and burn to DVD, quality features that are relatively easy to use and understand. I know I am not asking for much .
I am new to this but I don't want to buy something cheap and then have to upgrade if that is possible. It would be nice to purchase a high quality program and grow into it as I learn.
    Thanks for the help.

You will find that people will recomend the software that they use. You'll be better off downloading trials and see what works for you, with that said I use Sony Vegas 7 ( the full version) Check out its a Sony only site. Also try Adobe premier Pro, Avid Liqued. Studio is a piece of crap (IMHO) Make sure you look at the diffrent support forums and see what other people say. I hope this helped.

    Software Used:
TGV Edius 6, TGV ProCoder 3, DVD Lab Pro. 2

Extra advice from an Adobe user...

Rather than Premiere Pro do look at the cheap version Premiere Elements first. It's about a tenth the price of pro and does probably about 70% of what 'pro' does. And then upgrade to pro later.
