Thread: Incompatible Disc when burning

  1. Default Incompatible Disc when burning

I've edited my first wedding resulting to 3:11:48sec, i know that's long. I bought a Verbatim Dual Layer DVD-R 8.5GB (215min) but when i go to DVD layout > burn DVD... Premiere Pro 2.0 gives me a Incompatible disc message..

Under encoding summary this is what's written..

    PAL, 720x576, 25 [fps], Lower, Quality 5.0
48 kHz, 16 bit, Stereo, PCM
    CBR, 7.00 [Mbps]

What seems to be the problem here

Premier Pro v2 manual page 477 says
If you have a dual-layer recodable DVD drive, you must use single-layer DVD+R or DVD+RW discs.

If that;s the case, then you'll need to create an image, then burn this using a third party application. But dude, 3 hours? Is anyone going to watch that all?

Pro would not allow image or saving to hard drive if size is more than 4.7GB..

Have reduced now to 1:55min but still get "space required is more than 4.7GB".. How long should my video be exactly to fit a single layer 4.7GB disc?

  5. Default

Managed to reduce size until i got 'ready' showing under status.. But now a new problem, the 'burn' button is disabled, wouldn't enable even if i change to image or HD... This is getting to irritate me now, what could be the problem here..

Just a question, when i export this video to HD would it save the menu as well or just the video clips?
